The TEC1-12706 40x40mm Thermoelectric Cooler 6A Peltier Module is the simple application of the Peltier Thermoelectric Effect. The module features 127 semiconductor couples in the area of 40mmx40mm which very effectively cools and heats up to 90°C. Thermoelectric coolers are also known as TEC or Peltier Module create a temperature differential on each side. One side gets hot and the other side gets cool. Therefore, they can be used to either warm something up or cool something down, depending on which side you use. You can also take advantage of a temperature differential to generate electricity. This Peltier works very well as long as you remove the heat from the hot side. After turning on the device, the hot side will heat quickly, the cold side will cool quickly. If you do not remove the heat from the hot side (with a heat sink or other device), the Peltier will quickly reach stasis and do nothing. We recommend using an old computer CPU heatsink or another block of metal to pull heat from the hot side. We were able to use a computer power supply and CPU heatsink to make the cold side so uncomfortable we could not hold our finger to it. A thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module is a semiconductor-based electronic component that functions as a small heat pump. By applying the DC power source to a TEC, heat will be transferred from one side of the module to the other. It creates a cold and hot side. They are widely used in industrial areas, for example, computer CPUs, CCDs, portable refrigerators, medical instruments, and so on. The diffuse reflective type senses an object when the light beam is reflected to the sensor. A Defuse Reflective Sensor consists primarily of an Emitter for emitting light and a Receiver for receiving light. The sensor has 3 main components on its circuit board. First, the sensor unit at the front of the module measures the area physically and sends an analogue signal to the second unit, the amplifier. The amplifier amplifies the signal, according to the resistant value of the potentiometer, and sends the signal to the analogue output of the module. The third component is a comparator which switches the digital out and the LED if the signal falls under a specific value. You can control the sensitivity by adjusting the potentiometer.

The Basic Flex Sensor Circuit is a single-sided operational amplifier, used with these sensors because the low bias current of the op amp reduces error due to the source impedance of the flex sensor as the voltage divider.

Flex also called bend sensors, measure the amount of deflection caused by bending the sensor.

A typical bend sensor has the following basic specifications:

The LM35 is one kind of commonly used temperature sensor that can be used to measure temperature with an electrical o/p comparative to the temperature (in °C). It can measure temperature more correctly compare with a thermistor. This sensor generates a high output voltage than thermocouples and may not need that the output voltage is amplified. The LM35 has an output voltage that is proportional to the Celsius temperature. The scale factor is .01V/°C.

This is a force sensitive resistor with a square, 1.75 x 1.5″, sensing area. This FSR will vary its resistance depending on how much pressure is being applied to the sensing area. The harder the force, the lower the resistance. When no pressure is being applied to the FSR its resistance will be larger than 1MΩ. This FSR can sense applied force anywhere in the range of 100g-10kg. Two pins extend from the bottom of the sensor with 0.1″ pitch making it bread friendly. There is a peel-and-stick rubber backing on the other side of the sensing area to mount the FSR. Just Connect a resistor to form a voltage divider and measure the voltage at the junction to find the force applied. These sensors are simple to set up and great for sensing pressure, but they aren’t incredibly accurate. Use them to sense if it’s being squeezed, but you may not want to use it as a scale. This sensor can be easily interfaced with Microcontrollers, Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi etc. using an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC).
